Jaylee has hit the terrible twos. Well, not so much the terrible twos, just the busy getting into trouble part. She is actually throwing fewer tantrums as her vocabulary is growing to a scary degree. I don't remember the other kids speaking in full sentences and paragraphs at this age. Jaylee found a green marker, as evidence in the picture, and colored herself on her arms and legs, and especially her palms and the bottom of her feet. Maybe it tickled. I don't know. when I caught her in the act, she was using the marker like lipstick and putting it on her lips and teeth.

The next day she found the salt shaker and emptied it all over the dining room table. I found her drawing fun designs in it. She was quite pleased with her creativity.

Dave got home on Saturday from California. The kids were thrilled! They are also really enjoying the longer days, so they can play outside for a bit before or after dinner.
Jaylee "Swing high! More high!"
I registered Kaleb for kindergarten today. It seems so hard to believe he will be in kindergarten already! He is excited, and doesn't want to wait until fall. I took the girls, and registered while Kale was at preschool. They secretary helping us asked Alana is she was excited to start kindergarten. Alana said, "Yes, but not until I'm 5. I'm 3." The secretary was shocked. Alana was taller than two of the 5 year old girls there, so I can understand the mistake.
Kale presented me with a sweet Mother's Day card that he made at school today. He wrote and did the picture on the front, and on the inside they had asked the kids what they loved about their moms. "I love my mommy because I really want all the toys out of Mommy and Daddy's closet". (where the toys go in timeout) It made me laugh out loud so hard!
Kaleb: I love sugar. It's my most favorite thing. And you know what else I love? Whip cream."
We ate at Red Robin, and the Red Robin walked around greeting all the kids.
Alana: Red Robin is not scary. The Easter Bunny is scary. (the one at the mall)
Me: why is the Easter Bunny scary?
Alana: Because he's not at all like me.
Me: And the Red Robin is?
Alana: Yeah, he has legs like me. Long legs. And he's red. Red is my favorite color. And pink.
